 Dentistry:
This college has been established in order to cope with the continuous
development and progress in dental medical and surgical care. To realize this
goal, technologically – advanced equipment and facilities have been procured.
The College shall give special attention to child dentistry regarding prevention
and treatment.
Also an institute shall be annexed to the college in order to qualify and train
Dental Technicians. This institute shall be the first of its kind in the Sudan.
Until recently the training of those technicians has been under taken abroad,
but due to the inflation and Critical economic conditions such shortage of
scholarships,have been deemed too costly, which has In turn resulted in acute
short age of qualified and well-trained dental technicians. This shows how
timely is the establishment of such an institute.
Additional Faculties and programmes approved. Two other Faculties. Laboratory
Technology and physiotherapy as well as the Dental Technology programme have
been approved by the Ministry of Higher Education and Research for the academic
year 2004/2005
